I’m coming to the table with a strong and diverse professional background:20+ years as a business owner and entrepreneur, including leading and operating a childcare business.Social services professional, with experience supporting individuals, children and families.Certified mediator through York University, bringing skills in conflict resolution, communication and consensus-building.Certified mentor and coach through Schulich, strengthening my leadership, coaching and talent-development skills.Business administration studies through Schulich, with a strong understanding of business and strategic decision-making.Financial services experience, bringing financial literacy and practical business knowledge to the table.NGO and community leadership experience, including equity, diversity and inclusion and developing community talent.Mother, bringing the real-world skills of advocacy, problem-solving, balancing competing priorities and building strong relationships.Most importantly, I bring the experience, professional qualifications, leadership skills and mindset to contribute meaningfully.I believe a role as important as Council requires more than residency and signatures.
